After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, I worked for public television station WMVS in Milwaukee and the PBS network in Washington, DC. In 1980 I moved to London, England, where I continued to work in the international educational broadcasting field. For more on my current situation, see the Guest Book.

After graduating from Ripon College I taught school in Aurora IL. I met my husband Chuck and married him in 1969. We moved to Easton PA. There we had 2 daughters and after 3 years we moved to Wausau WI where we chose to live till now. I stayed home with our children for 14 years, returned to teaching for 15 years and retired in 2001. These past 10 years I have tested for our school district and tutored children in our home. We love to bike , kayak, and golf. One daughter lives in Wausau WI with 3 children and the other lives in Anchorage AK with 4 children. We love to have people in our home . My favorite thing to do is share God's Word in studies at church , in our home or speak at retreats. I regret I can't get to the reunion but each year we always get together with our families  in Phelps Wi that week . I will talk to Jean Oettinger to hear all about it. Have a great time.  Jo

I arrived in California in 1968 - first in Pasadena, then in San Diego - and I found it really hard to leave because I love it here. And now I can't leave because most of my family has moved within 10 miles of me.

The last to arrive - my mom Elsie Taylor (WHS class of 37), whom some of you may remember from Brigadoon and other cast parties, and my sister Sherry Hopson Rudrud (WHS 65) - live nearby in Rancho Bernardo. My uncle Ed Gray (WHS 36), the builder of many stone houses in Waukesha County, lived here from 1985 till his death in June 2016 at 96. Mom passed away in May 2015 at 94.

My daughter Kristin, her three sons and husband live only 2 miles away. Boys now are in college and ready to fledge. Son Jeff moved to a real fixer-upper with a full ocean view 15 miles from here. Only sister Peggy Hopson (WHS South 79) is stranded in Minneapolis, but we are working on her.

After graduating from Rockford College, I worked as a food chemist in Michigan. In California, I was fortunate to take a 17-year maternity leave and stay home with Kristin and Jeff, during which time I followed my mom's example of active volunteering. When the kids were teenagers and it was time to go back to work, I put my hard-earned fundraising skills to professional use for mental health, youth services and a leading independent school before becoming a major gift officer at Scripps Health for six years, a great opportunity to work with some leading philanthropists. With that experience, I was able to set up my own nonprofit consulting business in 2001, helping small to mid-sized nonprofits with fundraising and management issues.

In 2016, 15 years and 60 clients later, I retired to spend more time with photography and photo travel - most recently to Ireland and Panama with a 2-time Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist. I have gained skills and had success with juried exhibitions and sales. You can see some of my work at www.janieanderson.com.

Thanks to all the guys at BBG for keeping me in touch with all of you. and on the Reunion Committees.

After graduating from high school- went to  Carroll College and graduated from there in '65.  Went to University of Maryland and completed MS in '68.  Joined the staff of the Milwaukee Health Department as a Microbiologist and served for 17.5 years.  Got a second masters in management (MS-M) and became Laboratory Director for the Racine Health Department- serving in that capacity for 19 more years. Retired in'05- did some consulting with the City of Racine and Kenosha County Health Departments for a couple of years.

Accepted into the deacon's formation program of the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee and was ordained a deacon in '10.  Provide a liturgical presence at a parish in Racine- where I serve additionally in a ministry dedicated to the homeless- currently called Bread of Life.

Married for the past 18 years to Judy (the love of my life), who continues to work as a Nurse Practitioner for Wheaton Franciscans in Racine.  Between us we have 6 children and 4 grandchildren.

I still swim regularly and have averaged over 200 miles/year for the past 19 years.  Took up painting (acrylics) and am always "working" on something.  Do some hunting and occasional fishing- nothing serious.

Looking forward to seeing  my classmates after a rewarding 50 years.  I've been blessed.

I went to the UW after high school for 2 1/2 years.  Joined the Navy assigned to Swift Boats on the Rivers of Vietnam until the end of 1967.  I spent a little time in Africa to find myself.
Worked for the railroads in the midwest from Chicago to the Rocky Mountains until going into the transportation business on my own.   CEO of a transportation corporation; railroad piggybacks, sea containers and motor frieght.  Moved the business from Chicago to Tampa, Florida in 1980.
Happily retired in 2002 to Old Town, Florida on the Suwannee River with my wife, Kathy, a golden retriever, Gideon and 3 nanny goats.
We have two sons and a daughter-in-law, no grandchildren.
Thanks for a great website.  We are looking forward to the 50th high school reunion in August.
